One of those sometimes too rare items that, when you get it and open it up, you are immediately impressed with everything about it. Solidly built out of aluminum, just the feel of it says this is very well made. And it looks it, too. Collapsed, it becomes a simple dark grey brown cylinder. Just be aware if your sole use is as a selfie stick, this probably isn't a great choice. It is larger and heavier than most any of those. But for a portable free-standing tripod phone camera holder, it is outstanding. Operationally, it could not be more clever. Split the legs apart slightly, pull the top up, and it telescopes up. Flip the legs out completely to stand up. Remove the small shutter button that stores in the side, pair it once with you phone quick and easy, add your camera, and you are set. Mount rotates in any direction. Fold up is just as easy. Remove phone. reposition mount up and down if you moved it, push to collapse. Feet fold themselves in. Clip remote into the side. This is a brilliant work of engineering, and one of those items others will want to see and play with. It is that impressive even closed or opened. It is remarkably sturdy when opened up. The telescoping tube has not wiggle or play, behaving like a single solid tube. Rotating mounts work smoothly with just enough resistance to hold exact positioning. The tripod feet create a sturdy base. Again, a work or engineering art. For a mere $23 as of 05-SEP-23, this is a real steal of a deal as a tripod. Top quality, beautiful finish, superb operation, brilliant expanding and collapsing design. The only negative I can think of is what I pointed out in the beginning: it is not near as small as the average selfie stick, nor as light. So if you only plan to use it for selfies, this probably isn't a good choice. But for a mini portable tripod, it is top notch. And since I only want it for a tripod, I'm giving it five stars. But if I do use it for a selfie, that's OK too.

When I ordered this, I was absolutely not expecting what I received. I was expecting a sort of flimsy and cheap tripod/selfie stick and instead I ended up with what I think is going to become an essential travel item. Slightly larger than a compact umbrella, this would be easy to throw into a bag on any adventure. The Bluetooth remote paired without a problem and has zero learning curve. Open your camera and start snapping. I didn’t even realize at first that the remote was removable, a really thoughtful feature that really surprised and impressed me. 100% would recommend.
