Shower Drain Cover

Choose a drain cover or hair catcher by measuring the drain opening and the flat surface around it. Shape, size and mounting method matter more than a generic “universal” label.

Compare the type of hair catcher

  • A flexible drain cover sits over a smooth drain area and should be cleaned regularly.
  • A wall-mounted silicone hair collector gathers loose hair before it reaches the drain; it is not a drain cover.
  • Other strainers may sit inside or over the drain, so check each product page for its shape and package contents.

What should I measure?

Measure the drain diameter or width, the surrounding flat area and any raised rim. Confirm whether your surface is suitable for suction or adhesive mounting. A cover that overlaps uneven tiles may not seal or sit flat.

How often should it be cleaned?

Remove collected hair and debris before water flow is restricted. Rinse and dry the product according to its material and installation method. These accessories reduce debris entering the drain but do not replace normal drain maintenance.
