It means you don't have to open the cage door or lift up and pull out a feeder or water bowl. All openings remain closed and you only have to pull out the drawer. I have used it as a seed feeder and I love the design and ease of use.
It's very well made and hangs safely in a cage opening of your choice.
I also bought the Accessory for the Pet Bird Feeder which is a Cover that is a snug fit over the Bird Feeder and give the birds a private eating area or bathing area.
